1.5 To Stay Alive: How SIDS Leadership can Inspire Global Solutions at COP31

This event will highlight the exceptional climate action being undertaken by SIDS as we strive to keep 1.5°C alive. From expanding renewable energy initiatives to ocean conservation, indigenous practices to build resilience, adaptation, and innovative climate finance, SIDS can share vital lessons. Significantly, with our countries made even more vulnerable by our small sizes and financial constraints, we can show the world that climate change leadership can be done against the odds. Our Pre-COP side event will bring together key SIDS leaders for a fireside conversation, alongside negotiators who will be fighting at COP31 to ensure no one is left behind.
