Living Seawalls & Shorelines for Climate Resilience

Using Fiji's living seawall and shoreline initiatives as a case study, this panel brings together community, civil society, and Fijian and Australian government representatives to explore how nature-based solutions can strengthen climate resilience while delivering benefits for communities and coastal ecosystems. The discussion will highlight the importance of locally led adaptation and community leadership, and examine how nature and infrastructure can be combined to deliver effective and sustainable resilience outcomes. Panellists will discuss a new partnership between the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific, the Government of Fiji and WWF, and share practical lessons for scaling resilience across the Pacific.
