One Ocean: COP31 Meets the High Seas Treaty

The Pacific does not experience climate change, biodiversity loss and the ocean as separate policy silos. This interactive roundtable connects COP31’s ocean-climate agenda with implementation of the new BBNJ Agreement. Pacific leaders, Indigenous Peoples, negotiators and ocean practitioners will explore practical links across resilience, biodiversity, finance, capacity-building, knowledge and participation. The session will conclude with a concise set of actions that can travel from Fiji into COP31 and BBNJ COP1.
