About this session
Co-hosted by the Global Disability Fund (GDF) and the Pacific Disability Forum (PDF), the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program (SPREP) and the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS), this interactive session will reimagine how disability inclusion can reshape climate policy, planning, adaptation, resilience, and finance across the Pacific. Through Pacific-led perspectives, multi-media stories, short provocations and facilitated dialogue, participants will share ideas, lived experience, climate science and innovative practice, to co-develop key considerations for enacting disability-inclusive climate action and form a new multi-sectoral community of practice to continue the impact through a pathway connecting regional events across the Pacific with the COP 31 agenda in Turkiye, the UN GDF Global Forum and other global events.
