About this session
Even as the emphasis on improving access to climate finance increases, civil society is thinking ahead: how best can Pacific NGOs shape, govern and deploy climate finance according to their own priorities? This talanoa will bring together Australian and Pacific NGO representatives to share ideas on: a) the ways in which Australian and Pacific NGOs partner most effectively for climate action, b) what partnership models are no longer fit for purpose and how can they evolve to meet current and future needs, and c) how Australian and Pacific NGOs can work collectively to improve access to finance. They will shape principles that inform sector policy and practice in Pacific and Australian NGOs, influencing standards for locally-led development.
