The Blue Pacific Ocean as a Climate Solution

This High-Level event will showcase examples of Pacific ocean-climate-biodiversity leadership and the critical role of the Blue Pacific ocean in maintaining global planetary stability. The event will highlight interconnected examples from within and beyond national jurisdiction including action under the BBNJ Agreement, COP31 processes, the 2026 Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Statement, ocean action in NDCs and national ocean policies. The event will end with a call to action to support Pacific-led solutions that enable 100% sustainable management of the Blue Pacific for global planetary stability.
